We're a small, family-run business with a pretty simple approach; do things properly, treat people fairly and make life a little easier for our customers.
The main man behind Setline is Josh, who has pretty much had a toolbox in his hand since he could walk! From his first pair of overalls as a toddler & to nearly 15 years working in the trades, it's safe to say this isn't something he's just picked up along the way.
Starting out in plumbing/heating engineering straight from school at 16, Josh has spent his career learning, training and gaining qualifications across multiple trades. From running his own bespoke joinery business, becoming Operations Manager of a large multi-national maintenance company and even working as Head of Industries in a prison, where he helped people in rehabilitation learn practical trade skills to take back into the working world; he's certainly had a varied career with plenty more in-between!
After years of working across different areas of the trade industry, Josh saw a gap for a business that could genuinely offer a range of property services, backed by real experience and qualifications, rather than customers having to juggle multiple tradespeople just to get one job finished.
One point of contact, a whole lot less hassle.
Today, we take on everything from those little jobs that never seem to get ticked off, to full renovations.
We're not a big, faceless company. We're real, local people who genuinely care about what we do, and we'd much rather build lasting relationships with our customers than just tick another job off the list.
A lot of our work comes from returning customers and word of mouth, and that's something we're really proud of.

Even our big blue van has a story!
We're not a big, faceless company and we're not trying to be. We're a small family business with real people, plenty of history and a story behind what we do.
Even our van means something to us!
You might have spotted our big blue van out and about. It's been in the family for years, originally as a much-loved surf van before recently being handed down from Josh's dad.
We've given it a new lease of life (with a paint roller and a bit of elbow grease) and now it's helping us build our own family business.
We could have a shiny new van but we've got a cool, reliable, old-school beauty full of memories and character and we wouldn't swap it!
That's Setline really. Nothing flashy, nothing forced. Just genuine people, proud of where we've come from and what we're building.
